Education was a very important aspect of Dr. Dowie's teaching for his members. He started Zion College in Chicago which was later moved to Zion City IL.
The first building used in Chicago was located at the south west corner of Michigan Ave and 13th St. It had previously been used as the Seventh Illinois Armory.

The First Inaugural Address given by Dr. Dowie in the Hall of Seventies - Zion College - Chicago. It was given Tuesday February 14, 1899.
