Leaves of Healing, the 1st series was written by Dr Dowie when he first arrived in California in 1889. This periodical contained Dr. Dowie's teaching as well as testimonies of people that were healed under his ministry. His itinery was also published showing where and when the various missions were held from California to British Columbia in Canada.
When Dr. Dowie transferred his work to Chicago in 1893, he began the larger second series of Leaves starting with Volume 1 in1894. This second series continue through volume 18 1905.
At this point the periodical was taken over by Overseer Wilbur Glenn Voliva.
