Zion's other ministries
When Dr.Dowie first came to Chicago, he started three organizations for his members to be involved with.
The Zion Watchmen, later to become the Zion Guard, were volunteers who protected Dr. Dowie personally as well as the property owned by Dr. Dowie and the Christian Catholic Church.

For women there was the Zion Dorcas Womens group that Overseer Jane Dowie oversaw. This group help meet the needs of the poor in Chicago by demonstrating Christ's love firsthand. They provided clothing for the poor that had been donated and repaired by the Dorcas members.

Zion Seventies. This was an evangelist group that went door to door distributing Zion's literature and sharing the Gospel.
This organization was dissolved and reorganized into the Zion Restoration Host.

The menu to the lower left will give additional information.
